The 2010 Laserfiche Institute Conference
Over 1,200 Laserfiche users, administrators, resellers and staff joined industry analysts and consultants for the "Empower 2010" Laserfiche Institute Conference, January 11-13th at the LAX Hilton in Los Angeles.
All three days began with powerful multi-media presentations showcasing both the global impact of organizations using Laserfiche ECM, as well as the individual successes of the 13 winners of Laserfiche Run Smarter Awards this year. As Caren Skipworth, CIO of Run Smarter Winner Collin County said in her keynote Q&A, "The Three Laws of Agile ECM," "Technology is the catalyst for change."
For three days, the 1,200 members of the Laserfiche community inspired that change by immersing themselves in 100-plus sessions in five different tracks:
- 26 Laserfiche Labs , which provided hands-on training on a variety of aspects of the Laserfiche ECM system.
- 23 Product Overviews covering the entire Laserfiche ECM product suite.
- 18 Architecture and Administration classes which provided a "developers-eye" view of the architecture of the Laserfiche ECM system and advice for obtaining the best possible performance.
- 37 Industry Solutions case studies, presented by members of the Laserfiche community who shared how Laserfiche solved business problems in specific industries.
- 7 Processes and Practices courses outlining implementation strategies, best practices and practical advice to help formalize near- and long-term plans for Laserfiche implementation and expansion.
The 2010 Conference marked the launch of the Laserfiche Certified Professional Program, which offers valuable certification options for both Laserfiche engineers and specialists. Over 200 professionals took advantage of free Laserfiche Administrator I testing offered during the conference, adding valuable credentials to their resumes!
The popular "Office Hours" room, which made its debut at the 2009 Laserfiche Institute Conference, was back, with Laserfiche developers and engineers available to provide one-on-one consultations on any and every Laserfiche product. As Tato Munoz, IT Director for D.L. Evans Bank said, "The whole conference was a very gratifying experience with many pluses, but the Office Hours alone would have been worth the price of attending."
