LONG BEACH, CA (Laserfiche) Jan. 9, 2009—Laserfiche® today announced that key segments of the Laserfiche Institute Conference scheduled for January 12-14 at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport will address how technology helps the healthcare industry improve regulatory compliance, billing, and patient record management.
Representatives from the healthcare industry who have effectively implemented Laserfiche technology in their respective workplaces will share their challenges and strategies for success. “These presentations help demonstrate how healthcare organizations improve patient care, increase productivity, and return on investment through implementation of Laserfiche document management technology,” said Laserfiche Senior Vice President of Business Development, Chris Wacker.
Featured healthcare speakers will include:
- Matt Brown, Solutions Architect, JJ&R Medical Data Systems (MDS)—Building a Completely Paperless Environment with Laserfiche
Since 1983, MDS has provided billing and collection services to healthcare providers ranging from hospital emergency departments to urgent care centers. Working out of its office in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, MDS bills more than 60,000 patient accounts monthly. In this session, Brown will show how MDS has integrated Laserfiche with their billing system to greatly improve the time it takes to retrieve patient records. He will also share how Quick Fields™ is used to index and reconcile both electronic and paper records, and how Workflow™ automates the distribution of documents enterprise-wide. This session will also cover MDS’ future goals and the part Laserfiche plays in achieving them.
- Chris Fiorucci, Business Systems Analyst/Project Manager, BC Biomedical—Streamlining Workflow with Laserfiche
BC Biomedical has 47 locations and 700 employees who administer 440 types of tests and see about 6,000 to 8,000 patients daily. Managing more than 10,000 patient requisitions each day was impeding staff’s ability to provide comprehensive patient care. Fiorucci will share how BC Biomedical streamlined the patient requisition workflow process and automated heavy sorting and filing tasks using Quick Fields.
- Jo Wells, Director of Operations, Ear, Nose and Throat Associates of South Florida (ENTSF)—Paperless Without Pain
ENTSF has been caring for patients since 1963 with 25 physicians in 19 office locations located throughout Broward and Palm Beach Counties in South Florida. As one of the largest private practice otolaryngology groups in the country, ENTSF offers comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care all within one medical group. In this session, attendees will learn how ENTSF uses Laserfiche to manage patient records and streamline billing, while creating a paperless environment.
