LONG BEACH, CA and ROCHESTER, NY, Oct. 22, 2008—Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE:EK) and Laserfiche, both leaders in document imaging and document management software, today announced that the KODAK Scan Station 120EX, a network scanner is available with Laserfiche IntuitionMD software. This “plug ‘n play” solution will help healthcare organizations improve productivity by enabling anyone in a medical office to easily scan and manage all electronic records in a single repository.
Physicians and medical offices can now immediately transition to electronic records, establish security for sensitive information that is compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), and even U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 21 CFR Part 11.
“When Laserfiche announced its healthcare solution, we looked forward to working together in this exciting application for the healthcare market. This is an incredibly important channel in terms of growth and for accurate data management, as the very quality of life is at the center of it,” said Dolores Kruchten, General Manager, Document Imaging, and Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company.
“We are pleased to work with Kodak on this solution in the medical market,” said Laserfiche Senior Vice President, Chris Wacker. “Kodak’s scanners help customers improve productivity in so many areas, including the healthcare business, allowing them to scan medical records and related patient documents, and in providing secure access to those records across a network.”
