LONG BEACH, CA (January 16, 2014)—To honor the memory of Tom Wayman, Laserfiche Vice President of Marketing and Product Strategy, and to recognize his many contributions to the Laserfiche community, Laserfiche has introduced a new Run Smarter® Award: The Tom Wayman Leadership Award.
“Tom’s passion for helping organizations use the Laserfiche Run Smarter® philosophy drove him to continuously push for bigger and better things in product development, marketing, sales and customer support,” said Chris Wacker, Executive Vice President at Laserfiche. “His vision, energy and talent inspired us all to reach new heights.”
Each year, the Tom Wayman Leadership Award will be presented to an individual within the Laserfiche community who exemplifies extraordinary leadership, vision and commitment to sharing the Run Smarter® philosophy. Peter Wayman, Senior Laserfiche Consultant and brother to Tom, will present the award.
Adam Galvan Jr., Director of Technology at Edgewood Independent School District (EISD) in Texas, is the first recipient of this new award. Since joining EISD in 2010, Galvan has expanded the use of Laserfiche enterprise content management (ECM) software from the HR department to every department across the entire organization. His next project will be to make all EISD forms paperless.
“Adam is exactly the kind of Laserfiche community member Tom appreciated most—someone who is committed to finding ingenious new ways to use Laserfiche to drive better results,” said Wacker. “We congratulate Adam on his many achievements and look forward to seeing what’s next!”
