LONG BEACH, CA, October 18, 2012—Laserfiche today announced that CEO Nien-Ling Wacker has been honored by The Long Beach Rosie the Riveter Foundation for excelling as a corporate leader and serving as a role model for other women.
“I’m honored to receive this award and proud that the hard work of Laserfiche staff and resellers has allowed the company to grow despite the tough economy of the last four years,” said Wacker. “Since Laserfiche moved to Long Beach, we’ve grown our workforce by roughly 400% while providing software that supports the growth and productivity of thousands of organizations around the world.”
Wacker founded Laserfiche, a leading provider of enterprise content management (ECM) software, in 1987 and has grown the company’s customer base to more than 32,000 worldwide. The company has been praised by industry analyst firms such as IDC for helping organizations “address the majority of their document and records management issues effectively and within a shorter time frame than other large enterprise content management providers.”
Wacker has earned extensive recognition for her contributions to her field, including the AIIM Pioneer of the Year Award, the IIMC Visionary Award and the National Luminary of the Year Award from the Mothers in Business Network. In 2009, she was presented with the Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce for her impact on business and the community. Prior to that, Wacker was inducted into the National Association of Women Business Owners Hall of Fame in Los Angeles and named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s list of “100 Women Who Make a Difference.”
Laserfiche has many local customers, including the City of Long Beach and the Long Beach Police Department, Long Beach City College, Halbert Hargrove, California Cartage Company and Farmers & Merchants Bank.
