LAS VEGAS, NV (Laserfiche)—March 22, 2010—Laserfiche will today demonstrate its new, agile approach to enterprise content management (ECM) at the Gartner Business Process Management Summit (booth K). Laserfiche Workflow, which automates collaborative business processes such as case management, permitting, HR onboarding and more, plays a pivotal role in Laserfiche’s agile approach to ECM.
“In today’s economic climate, efficiency is essential,” said Andy Wang, director of ECM strategy at Laserfiche. “Agile ECM combines content management with BPM to deliver a comprehensive and flexible foundation for increasing organizational efficiency by eliminating data silos, automating core business processes and minimizing ongoing IT maintenance demands.”
Laserfiche Workflow, a foundational component of the Laserfiche ECM suite, enables organizations to create custom workflows that offer localized flexibility in streamlining business processes while enhancing centralized control over content standards. These workflows automatically perform specific tasks based on activity occurring in Laserfiche as well as other applications such as GIS, ERP, CRM and more.
Organizations around the world have improved operational efficiency by including Laserfiche Workflow in their overall ECM strategy. For example:
- Transamerica Financial Advisors, a full-service independent Broker/Dealer and Registered Investment Advisor, uses Laserfiche Workflow to automate new account processing, routing applications between representatives, office of supervisory jurisdiction managers and the home office. This results in faster approvals.
- Texas A&M University Health Sciences Center, which oversees seven college campuses across the state, uses Laserfiche Workflow to process contracts and grants, identifying bottlenecks and decreasing processing time per item from three weeks to 30 minutes.
“Workflow technology has practical applications for organizations of all sizes across all industries,” said Wang. “To be truly agile, your ECM strategy must include BPM.”
