Laserfiche Founder Honored as AIIM Fellow

Nien-Ling Wacker, Founder of Laserfiche, was posthumously elected to the Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM) Company of Fellows. Established in 1963, the AIIM Company of Fellows honors individuals who merit recognition and distinction for their outstanding contributions to the enterprise content management (ECM) industry.
John Mancini, President of AIIM International, said, “Nien-Ling was truly a pioneer in the ECM industry. She focused on excellence and thrived on making software that people love to use. Thanks to her tremendous dedication, Laserfiche has grown into a powerhouse with thousands of customers and millions of users around the world.”
Her husband, Laserfiche CEO Chris Wacker, and son, Laserfiche Vice President of Asset Management Peter Wayman, accepted the award on her behalf at the awards ceremony in San Diego on March 19.
“Nien-Ling was passionate about leading the ECM industry into the future,” said Wacker. “She was heavily involved with AIIM and would be deeply honored by this recognition.”
Nien-Ling Wacker is the 208th individual to be inducted to the AIIM Company of Fellows. Other notable Fellows include futurist and Computerworld columnist Thornton A. May and records management expert Dr. Charles Dollar.
