Laserfiche International Ltd., a leading provider of enterprise content management (ECM) solutions, has received the 2016/2017 Caring Company Award from the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS). The award recognizes outstanding organizations that demonstrate corporate social responsibility through caring for the community, employees and the environment.

Laserfiche recently partnered with the nonprofit ECO Association—dedicated to promoting environmental education and ecological conservation—to sponsor the Hong Kong Office Paper Recycling Action 2017. The campaign encourages enterprises to significantly reduce the amount of paper discarded and reduce organizations’ carbon footprints. Since the initiative’s inception in 2012, the ECO Association estimates participating organizations have collectively reduced carbon dioxide emissions by more than 100 metric tons.

The Hong Kong Council of Social Service has over 400 Agency Members and provides over 90 percent of the social welfare services in Hong Kong. Its vision is to build a welfare sector that is highly accountable, efficient, effective and responsive to social needs, upholding the long-term sustainable development of society and the well-being of citizens.

Winners were announced March 10 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
