LONG BEACH, CA (Laserfiche)—March 2, 2011—Laserfiche today announced it has issued a “challenge grant” to the worldwide Laserfiche community in order to support resellers and users in New Zealand who have been affected by last Tuesday’s devastating 6.3 magnitude earthquake in Christchurch.
“It is with a heavy heart that we’ve learned about those affected by this disaster,” said Phyllis Chen, Managing Director of Laserfiche International. “Our local reseller, Ricoh New Zealand, has employees who have lost their homes, and the local branch has been badly damaged.”
Through its challenge grant to the Laserfiche community, Laserfiche will match every dollar that Laserfiche users, resellers, staff and other community members contribute to the relief effort, up to $10,000NZ.
“We hope to contribute funds to the relief efforts, as well as remind our Laserfiche family in New Zealand that they aren’t alone,” said Sean Tang, Vice President of International Business at Laserfiche International. “This is an opportunity for members of the Laserfiche community to do what they do best—work together to support each other.”
Online donations may be made to the New Zealand Red Cross at www.redcross.org.nz/. To take advantage of matching funds, members of the Laserfiche community may submit donation receipts to nz-relief@laserfiche.com.
