LONG BEACH, CA (October 14, 2013)—The College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Oklahoma (OU) will outline how to implement a framework for mobile student advising at EDUCAUSE’s 2013 Conference. The presentation will take place on Friday at 8:00 am in Ballroom E of the Anaheim Convention Center.
The presentation will explore how the college developed an information system that federates student information from multiple sources and efficiently sends it to students and advisors by integrating Laserfiche ECM, Banner SIS and mobile devices. This program was named a “Model of Efficiency” by University Business magazine in August 2013.
Takeaways for attendees will include an outline of the information structure that IT departments can create for student service units and the change management methodology for successfully implementing this structure.
Laserfiche will be on hand at booth #1351 to demonstrate its software solutions, provide free massages and give away “Quicker Better Safer: Higher Education,” a book of customer-built solutions for records management, financial aid processing and more. Laserfiche will also host a reception on Wednesday, October 16, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm ET at the Anaheim Marriott.
